The legends of Manchester
Manchester has a good team now, but Pop tells me that in the distant past, we had the best team in the British league.
So I sat down with Pop and made him tell me all about the best kickers in Manchester's long 13-year history. I may have made some mistakes as I don't know much about the pre-Glazer era, so if I do have any errors, let me know.
DAVID BECKHAM
The best kicker Mancheser have ever had, Beckham once kicked a score from the other side of halfway! Beckham is of the most famous men on the planet, along with singer George Michael. They both have a lot in common. For one, they like to spend their free time in Loos.
ERIC CANTON
A martial arts expert from China, Canton is remembered more for his Kung Fu than for his skills. Traded from the Leeds Enrons, his soccer ball control was almost as good as his zen mind control.
PETER SHEMICHEL
Shemichel was a brilliant goaltender, who had a 93% throwing ratio on passes over 50 yards! Was a favorite of Sir Ferguson's as they had regular competitions over who had the reddest nose.
TEDDY SHERINGHAM
Sheringham scored one of the goals as Manchester won the Euro Series final against Bayern Munchen. Pop tells me he had a yard of pace in his head, which is the only pace he ever had.
DIEGO FORLAN
I said earlier that Manchester should sign him and some kind people told me that he actually used to play for us, but that idiot Sir Ferguson sold him. He was the best goal kicker in the whole of Europe this season and proved that he belongs in this list of legends.
MICHAEL PHELAN
Not a legend on the field, but a legend off it. Sir Phelan was the winningest head coach at Manchester last series and it is only a matter of time before he replaces Sir Ferguson.
